Introducing the Report Type Dashboard for users

To give visitors to our website a glimpse of the data provided on Crypto Statto we put together a dashboard with numerous displays on top of our data. This data is served by a comprehensive API which is effectively different reports data.

The data is not real time, instead we have data engines that collects cryptocurrency data performs analysis on that information and makes it available to the Web Data Platform technology within the website.

Our Intention is to have data frequently updated but in some situations data can get stale.

To understand the status of reports;

The dashboard contains a Website Report Load Stats report
An API endpoint at https://www.cryptostatto.com/api/ReportGroupResult if you are using our API

How the dashboard works in simple terms

Accessing the report

You should be a registered user on the website and signed-in. You can access the Report Type Dashboard here Power Reports

Select Report

By selecting a report in the drop down information about the reports appears. We have a "Report Summary" for most reports and more information about the report under "Report information".

Load all reports

Once this button is pressed, if the report metadata has loaded you can then proceed to the "Report" tab.

Expanding the Report Tab

By expanding the report tab, if available different displays such as charts and tables will appear related to the data. Some displays have more interactive features such as navigation others are fairly simple charts.

Clicking on this button will take you to the top of the page which can be quite useful.

Why is it called the report type dashboard?

Behind the website are technologies to collect similar reports and make them available to common usages such as applications and dashboards.

This is because some reports are spread across different entities - in simple terms we could have prices reports across different asset classes such as commodities, pharmaceuticals, cryptocurrencies etc.

Extended functionality with the report type dashboard

You may or may not have seen us mention the simple reports API which can contain different data sets underneath an entity. This has allowed us to improve the performance of the platform but to also have different types of data within the report type dashboard.

This will lead to richer reports unimproved usability value for our customers.

Understanding the Report Type Dashboard as a developer

As you may be aware, we have an extensive API. It provides far more reports then we display within the Report Type Dashboard.

Use this dashboard as a means to understand more about the types of information we are collecting and presenting.

Understanding charging within the Report Type Dashboard

Crypto Statto is set up to allow users to buy credits and use them to access content and reports within the platform. Whenever certain reports and information about reports are accessed a small amount of credits are consumed. You can view these price lists on the member management portal.

You can also buy credits through this portal which connects to external payment providers. Currently we accept cryptocurrency only, there are many reasons for this but the main one is to have a far securer payment process than traditional PCI/Credit Card/Debit Cards.

New users joining the website can access the faucet utility to allocate free credits on the platform.

The goal of the creators of the platform is to provide a fair amount of access for the credits and we presume this to be more than fair for the users of Crypto Statto.

Improvements to the Report Type Dashboard are ongoing

We recognise there are many improvements to make visually. We haven't created dashboards for mobile devices presently, but something we are looking into adding are plugins/applications within and potentially outside the platform.
